Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care

All our programmes are accredited for Edexcel Awarding Body and meet the National Standards for the Social Care Sector as defined by Skills for Care Sector Skills Council.

DHCT is the provider of choice for many social care employers in Cornwall supporting recruitment and training for care workers who may work in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres or some clinical healthcare settings.

Adult Care Worker Level 4

This course is for learners employed as a lead practitioner in adult care, e.g. community care officer, physiotherapy assistant, re-ablement support worker, social care assistant or telecare assistant. A lead practitioner will guide and inspire team members to make positive differences to someones life when they are faced with physical, practical, social, emotional or intellectual challenges

 

You must hold a level 3 qualification in health and social care or equivalent

You will complete the following mandatory modules:

  1. Advanced Communication Skills in Adult Care
  2. Personal and Professional Development in Care Settings
  3. Equality and Diversity in Care Settings
  4. Understand Safeguarding and Protection in Care Settings
  5. Person-centred Assessment and Planning to Improve Individual Outcomes
  6. Understanding Personalisation in Care and Support Services
  7. Health and Safety in Care Settings
  8. Professional Practice in Adult Care Develop,
  9. Maintain and Use Records and Reports
  10. Partnership Working in Care Settings
  11. Safeguard Children and Young People Who Are Present in Care Settings
  12. + sector specific modules related to your workplace

The duration for this course is 12 months maximum, but you can complete earlier.

Blended learning – via face to face, virtual classrooms, workplace observations

The full cost of this courses is £2882.00.
 
This course can be funded via Advanced learner loans.
ELCAS funding is also available for  members of the Armed Forces or have reached the end of active service.
