Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care

DHCT is the provider of choice for many social care employers in Cornwall supporting recruitment and training for care workers who may work in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres or some clinical healthcare settings.

Level 5 Diploma Leadership and Management for Adult Care 

The Pearson BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (England) is for learners in the role of leader/manager in adult care.

A leader in adult care will guide and inspire teams to make positive differences to someones life when they are faced with physical, practical, social, emotional or intellectual challenges.

They will be a leader of the care team and will develop and implement a values-based culture at a service or unit level. They may be responsible for business development, financial control, organisational resilience and continuity, as well as for managing risk and leading on organisational change. 

You must hold a level 4 qualification in health and social care or equivalent

  14. Effective Communication in the Workplace
  15. Handling Information
  16. Leading Person-centred Practice
  17. Health and Wellbeing in Adult Care
  18. Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Human Rights
  19. Health and Safety in Adult Care
  20. Continuous Professional Development in Adult Care
  21. Personal Wellbeing

+ sector specific optional units

Blended delivery including; one to one support with a competent tutor, along with a remote or face to face learning environment. We have a recently developed ESkills platform that all learners can use as a resource when completing their units to develop their competencies

The duration for this course is 12 months, but you can complete earlier

The full cost of this course is £4670.00.
 
This course can be funded via Advanced learner loans.
ELCAS funding is also available for  members of the Armed Forces or have reached the end of active service.
