Gail
Job Title: Director
Originally a social worker in Berkshire, Gail has worked in Local Authority Community Teams, the NHS, and managed Residential and Domiciliary Care Services before moving into education. Gail was a curriculum leader for Care Management programmes or Thames Valley Universities further education for 7 years, before setting up a training company in Buckinghamshire. In 2012 Gail moved to Cornwall and started Dynamo Healthcare Training and the Academy. Gail is very passionate about supporting young people to realise their potential and that healthcare is an excellent career choice with many rewarding benefits.
Fun Fact: Gail was a finalist and runner up, as the 2016 South West Young Director of the year, for the Institute of Directors (IOD) Awards which was fantastic.

Sarah
Job Title: Office Manager
Role: I head up the office team here at Dynamo Healthcare Training, providing administrative support for our courses. Working with the Department of Education to ensure their smooth running. I support the assessment team with recruitment of learners and the exams officer with the administration of exams and completions. I work closely with our therapy dogs and ensure the smooth running of the office, including all elements of Health & Safety. I have a passion for sustainability and we are working with key partners to ensure we are a carbon positive team. I am the Deputy Safeguarding lead and support our safeguarding team with the application of our policy and support to ensure that we keep people safe.
Previous Experience: Previous experience includes working as a Facilities Officer for an international charity as a Health & Safety specialist. As a Secondary Classroom teacher with 15 years experience I was also Head of Health & Social Care at a Secondary School in Oxfordshire, Head of Geography at a School in Nottingham and Vocational Lead for a School in London. I worked for a Christian Outdoor Education Charity as an activity Instructor assessing the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme, Archery, Climbing & Fencing awards. With a specialism for Watersports.
Fun Fact: I love international travel and have visited every continent except Antartica.
Sharina
Job Title: Apprenticeship Manager
Sharina started with us in 2017 and completed her Business Admin Level 3 Apprenticeship!
Sharina has now progressed to Apprenticeship Manager and supports Dynamo’s day-to-day operations and apprenticeship enrollments!
Julia
Job Title: Exams Officer
Role: The role of the Exams Officer is to maintain the integrity and efficiency of the examination process. The role also involves the administration, management, and coordination of examinations. This involves liaising with assessors, apprentices and examination boards.
Previous Experience: Data Administration and Pharmaceutical Quality
Fun Fact:I used to play the keyboards in a band.
Leah
Job Title: Customer Service Administrator
Role: I assist in learner sign-ups, offer IT assistance to our employers, learners, and colleagues, create engaging social media content, manage incoming phone calls, and assist in coordinating upcoming events.
Carol
Job Title: Quality lead and Designated Safeguarding Lead
Role: Carol is the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Quality Lead for Dynamo managing overall safety and wellbeing for all learners and employees whilst ensuring Quality compliance with all apprenticeships and short courses.
Previous Experience: Worked in hospitality since the age of 17 doing various roles which led to working on Cruise Ships for 10 years. In 2006, Carol changed her career path to work in health and social care where she flourished and qualified as a Trainer, Assessor and Internal Quality Assurance Practitioner.
Fun Fact: I have sailed around the world 9 times.
Kelly
Job Title: Assessor/Tutor
Role: Assessor for level 2 and 3 apprenticeships in Adult Care, Customer Service and Business admin (Qualified IQA)
Previous Experience: After gaining my qualification I worked and trained at Truro College, as an assessor and provided functional skill support to learners. Previous work experience in the care sector that lead to this career change in both, community and residential care, administration and training roles within the care sector. Prior to this I worked in the tourism industry for many years with my final role as regional sales manager for a tour operator in Brighton selling and marketing bespoke travel packages in Europe. I have also had experience running a small business with my husband since moving to Cornwall.
Fun Fact: My day starts and ends with a demanding but very cute jackapoo!

Debbie H
Job Title:Assessor for Levels 2 and 3 apprenticeships in Adult Care
Role: Offering support and assessing individuals to ensure that they meet the standards required to achieve their qualifications.
Previous Experience: I have gained over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare sector, working my way up the ladder from a healthcare assistant to Senior healthcare assistant, Management support and Deputy manager of a care home. I have predominantly worked in eldercare, in homes and the community over the years, but also have experience working in a hospital environment on a surgical ward. I was a Healthcare assessor many years ago but gave it up to take on other challenges. I gained a degree in healthcare practice in 2017 of which I am very proud of considering I was a mature student. I decided to go back to assessing in 2023 as I had missed the teaching/support aspect in helping others achieve what I have.
Fun Fact:I love travelling and have been to many places but there is still so much more to see.
Alice
This is Alice, who is an assessor for our Level 4 and Level 5 Care and Business qualifications! She left Care Management primarily with the elderly to support others to develop in their care management careers. Alice is a fab member of staff to work with!
Debbie D
Job Title: Assessor/IV
Debbie started with us in 2014 and delivers training on all care and business qualifications and supports the Quality Lead and Curriculum Manager to meet Ofsted and ESFA requirements. Debbie is a fantastic and valued member of the team. Debbie has worked in care since 1997 in a variety of roles, but mainly managing services for Adults with learning needs.
Caroline
Job Title: Assessor/Trainee IV/Curriculum Development
Caroline joined with Dynamo in 2019 as an assessor and has developed her role into becoming a writer for our Clinical E-Skills platform! Before Caroline joined Dynamo, she worked as a midwife for for 8 years and qualified as a teacher to teach students in the Health and Social Care sector!
Caroline is a very valued member of the team.
Emma Burns
Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor
Emma joined Dynamo in 2020 as our main functional skills tutor. Emma delivers math’s and english functional skills to all of our apprentices who need to achieve this, along side their apprenticeship.
Edward
Job Title: Lead e-skils/ICT/functional skills
Role: Leading on the development and maintenance of Dynamo’s e-skills online learning platform, as well as the organisations ICT systems and security. Leading on the continuing development of functional skills and resources to support learners with varying needs.
Previous Experience: Over 20 years’ experience in ICT and Retail, 8+ years experience as an assessor, and 6+ years’ experience as a tutor/trainer.
Fun Fact: I set my school record for the 200m sprint.
Karl
Job Title: Business Development Manager
Role: As part of the Senior Leadership team. I thrive on uncovering growth opportunities and forging new strategic partnerships. With a passion for expanding our reach or forging partnerships, I am dedicated to propelling our company to new heights.
Previous Experience: With over two decades of diverse experience, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table. From managing teams of military veterans at Active Plus CIC and spearheading day-to-day operations to developing strategies for stakeholder engagement at Digital Peninsula Network Ltd, my track record speaks volumes. As a Projects Manager for CMT Services Ltd, I successfully led multiple employment projects funded by prestigious organisations.
Prior to this, my role as Projects Coordinator at The Cornwall College Group involved managing national projects across multiple locations. Additionally, my tenure as Programme Manager at The Cornwall College Group saw me play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of a highly successful bespoke curriculum and academy.
With a background as a Physical Training Instructor in the Royal Air Force, I’ve honed a diverse skill set encompassing management, project coordination, instruction, mentoring, and more. My ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, coupled with a keen eye for detail, ensures success in any endeavour.
Fun Fact: I have a secret passion for ironing and polishing the families shoes! Maybe this stems back to my military days?
Mat
Job Title: Business Support Assistant
Matthew joined the team in February 2023 and is supporting our Business Development team.
Mat is enjoying his new role and has spent lots of his time out and about meeting businesses!
Elouise
Job Title: Lead Marketing Creator
This is Elouise, who leads on the creation of our Marketing Campaigns across our social media channels. Elouise is very creative and is always looking at ways Dynamo can improve.
Alfie
Job Title: Therapy Dog
Everyone meet Alfie! Alfie is a Sharpei breed and keeps everyone very happy. He is a very polite young boy, and will appreciate any treats given to him!
Bella
Job Title: Therapy Dog
Everyone meet Bella! Bella is a new addition to the team, supporting Alfie in the therapy dog business!
Luna
Job Title:Therapy Dog
Luna is a trained therapy dog and plays a key role in the wellbeing of the team. She provides regular screen breaks and supports us with our Healthcare events. She is beginning to build her experience as she volunteers with local care homes and schools.
Fun Fact: Luna loves going on sniffaris and is hoping to complete the SW Coast Path.
