{"id":3226,"date":"2017-09-12T11:53:43","date_gmt":"2017-09-12T10:53:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/old.dynamohealthcaretraining.co.uk\/wp\/2017\/09\/12\/pre-employment-training\/"},"modified":"2022-01-19T16:02:53","modified_gmt":"2022-01-19T16:02:53","slug":"pre-employment-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.dynamohealthcaretraining.co.uk\/wp\/2017\/09\/12\/pre-employment-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Pre-Employment Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Pre-employment Training &#8211; Healthcare Sectors<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Dynamo Healthcare Training (DHCT) supports unemployed people in Cornwall to access employment training opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>If you are unemployed and want to access work within healthcare we can support you commence careers in a variety of roles, for example working with people with Dementia, Long Term Conditions, people with Learning and Physical Disabilities and Mental Health services.<\/p>\n<p><b>Assessment<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The basic knowledge needed to work in the sector will be assessed via a workbook which you will complete and it will be marked.<\/li>\n<li>You will also undertake practical assessments in the simulation centre to confirm basic competence in tasks for your role.<\/li>\n<li>Assess to employment requirements<\/li>\n<li>Work requirements and salary are specific to your employer<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing training with the NVQ in Health and Social Care expected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>We offer a 11-day programme covering:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\uf0b7Study Skills<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Introduction to the health and social care sectors and understanding your role.<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Your personal development<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Duty of care<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Equality and Diversity<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Work in a person-centred way<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Communication<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Privacy and Dignity<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Fluids and Nutrition<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Awareness of mental health, dementia and learning disabilities<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Safeguarding Adults<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Safeguarding Children<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Basic life support\/first aid with practical assessment<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Health and Safety<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Handling information<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Infection Prevention and Control<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Manual Handling with practical assessment<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7CV writing\/interview skills<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Confidence building\/Personal Resilience<\/li>\n<li>\uf0b7Introduction to employers and the opportunity to access work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You will achieve an accredited level 2 Award in Infection, Prevention and Control, Care Framework Certificate Knowledge, accredited Work Skills Award, Certificate in Manual Handling and Basic First Aid.(Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT where required).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Delivery<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Monday 2nd Oct 17 to Monday 16th Oct 17 . Times: 9:30 \u2013 4:30<\/p>\n<p><b>Venue<\/b><\/p>\n<p>DHCT, Unit 7c Duchy Business Centre, Wilson Road, Pool, Cornwall, TR15 3RT<\/p>\n<p><b>Assessment<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The basic knowledge needed to work in the sector will be assessed via a workbook which you will complete and it will be marked.<\/p>\n<p>You will also undertake practical assessments in the simulation centre to confirm basic competence in tasks for your role.<\/p>\n<p><b>Assess to employment requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Work will be subject to a 3-month probationary period.<\/p>\n<p>You will agree to complete the Adult Apprenticeship training programme at Level 2 which will be 12 months training on the job.<\/p>\n<p>You will be paid a minimum wage during the adult apprenticeship training and increases in salary after this is dependent on your employer.
